STAR OF THE DAY

Geoff Pell who was riding in aid  for Barnsley Hospice. Geoff tackled  the 100 mile circuit and still managed to finish with a smile on his face an raise a lot of money for the charity.

Welcome to the Jodrell Bank Summer Sportive organised by the Team Torelli Cycling Club

We have got three great routes around the Cheshire plains 30 miles 65 miles and 100 miles. Routes have been designed by experienced cyclists from locals clubs and keep to mainly quiet B roads.

OLYMPIC ROAD RACE ON TV

Apologies we were trying to arrange to show you the Olmpic Road Race on TV after the event but we have run into to some red tape so it is not now possible  Apologies once again.

Easy to enter
You do not need to be in a club to ride or need any sort of licence. You must however be reasonably fit, have a road worthy bike and a helmet. 
We organise our events to cater for all abilities and have 3 routes of differing distances. So wether you are a complete novice, an experienced sportive rider or a hardened club rider our events will be suitable.
We are also one of the few organised sportive or cycle events that take entries on the day. That means you can just turn up and ride. You will also find that we are also one of the friendliest 

All our events are third party insured.

We are one of the few Sportive to allow riders to enter on the day. All we ask is that you turn up early with an entry form and a route map which you can download from the website see the column on the right and get here early to help us get you through registration.

GOLD SILVER & BRONZE STANDARDS

This year we are introducing Gold, Silver and Bronze standards to all competitors based on finishing times inline with other sportive events. Times will be published on our website after the event usually on the Monday.

Gold Standard 
30 Miles Time under 2hr 35 mins
65 MilesTime under 5 hrs 15mins
100 Miles Time Under 8hr 20 mins

Silver Standard
30 Miles Time under 2hr 50 mins
65 Miles Time under 5 hrs 45mins
100 Miles Time under 9 hrs 00mins

Bronze Standard
30 Miles Time over 2hr 50mins
65 Miles Time over 5hr 45mins
100 Miles Time over 9 hr 00mins


FEEDING STATIONS
We will have feeding stations at approximately half distance for the 30 Mile and 60 Mile events and at a third and two thirds distance on the 100 Mile event.
We will have all the usual food at you would expect at a feeding station. High 5 Energy Gels, Bananas, Flap Jacks, High 5 Energy Drink to top up your bottles and Fresh Water.

PRE EVENT
Free Hot Drinks, Tea and Coffee available in the registration room

POST EVENT
Free Hot Drinks, Tea and Coffee. Plus our Belgian style Bratwurst Hot Dogs with Onions and Heinz Tomato Sauce. Plus our now famous Fruit Cake.

TIMING
We have a Barcode Chip Timing System. Please make sure your number is attached to your handle bars and the Barcode is not obscured.

You can now be find our events on Strava. If you have got a garmin sat nav or a iphone you can download the free APP and track you efforts and those of others. You can compare yur results with others against various segments as well as the overall route.

BIKE SERVICE
Bike Service will be provided by SPORTIVE NATION who have a fabulous new bike shop in Hazel Grove.

Please show your support. They have attended all our events this year and have helped many of you to sort out those last minute technical problems.

We are delighted to announce that SPORTS SUNDAY will be at covering the event You will be able to purchase photographs from their website. They are one of the countries leading sports photography companies and also put a lot back into the sport.

PARKING
There is plenty of parking at the Leisure Centre and also the High School next door. Please follow the instructions of the Leisure Centre Staff they are there to help you.

POLITE NOTICE
There is plenty of parking at the Leisure Centre and the School next door. If you do park on the road outside DO NOT obstruct the driveways of the local residents. If you do you are likely to get a parking ticket and may have your vehicle towed away

SIGNAGE
We use a Black Arrow on a Florescent Yellow background to sign the route. We also mark the roads with a RED arrow using temporary spray. The Route signs are put out just before the events and are checked on the morning of the event. We also have a vehicle that proceeds the riders making sure the signs are still in place.

NO EXCUSES FOR GETTING LOST

REFUNDS
Along with most other sportive  events we do not do refunds. We do allow you to transfer to one of our other events if you are unable to ride.
